Gymnastics is a confidence-building sport that improves strength, flexibility, agility, and coordination. It’s a great activity for developing skills for all other sports. Classes focus on tumbling as well as skills on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and Tumbl-Trak (trampoline).
Pre-School (Beginner) classes are FUN, healthy, play with a purpose! These classes are for boys and girls who are 3-4 years old, have good listening skills and willing to participate independently (sometimes a parent helps out!). They last for 45 minutes. Our program's primary goal for preschoolers is to develop a high level of gross motor skills and to build self-confidence. The children receive instruction on the bars, beam, tumbling, and Tumble-Trak.
Jr. Gymnastic (advanced beginners) classes are one hour classes for boys and girls aged 5 to 9. Classes focus on basic gymnastics skills with on emphasis on over-all fitness. Students will learn skills on uneven bars, balance beam, tumbling, vault and Tumbl-Trak. Older students are encouraged to move to the Intermediate classes as soon as they have mastered basic skills.
Intermediate classes are for girls only who have the basic fitness and skills to participate in this 90 minute class. The girls in this class are eligible to compete at USAG Level 3 and are often working towards joining the competitive team. Other girls are using this experience to supplement other activities as they develop higher level tumbling.
